How Do We Change To The Life We Want?

By Emmanuel van der Meulen

Most people will do anything that is included within their morals. Thus the murderer will murder, the thief will steal. A manipulative person will manipulate. Examples: go to war, take drugs, abuse another person, cheat on taxes, engage in prostitution, handle objects with disrespect, disregard our environment and so forth.

We'll do almost anything to feel good about ourselves. Looking back at your life thus far, you will probably be able to see this pattern in your own life.

Usually, these activities don't sit well with us before doing them, while we're doing them, or even afterward. It's also almost certain and very likely that when doing such deeds, when we take a quiet moment and reflect on them, we're likely to admit, or come clean, that IF we were able to, we'd prefer not to have done them. Likely, even hardened criminals and murderers say this of their inhumane deeds.

And what about when we get to do the things that make us feel fulfilled? We can observe that in most cases, what we do automatically, without needing to force ourselves, are the things we like.

It's highly likely that when we walk our own path, when we manifest our meaning, we're automatically doing the things we like doing.

Be warned that there will be times when we will have to do things we'd rather not do, even when walking our own journey. After making sure there's no other way, we're likely to still have to do certain things we'd prefer not to. As an example, from time to time, though not often, we might find ourselves in a situation where we need to confront another person. This is something we probably won't like to do, but we would still step up to the task and as a result we would end up confronting the other person.
